50 | 01/07/2023 | 1:30 PM | 35 mins | Black messa | Very technical launch. Mario says it's plucky!!! And that's what happened pulled me up and set me down in a nice juniper. Spent a bit getting out and then tried again. The trick is to launch in lighter wind then you think. Second attempt was flawless had a vario going gand that seemed to help but was basically getting ridge lift. Super fun wind comes north and was easy to land beside the road. Great flight | Geo | Edit
11 | 09/12/2022 | 4:30 PM | 10 mins | Poo poo point | Reverse running take off, failed 3 times due to no wind. Lots of active wind! Landed in middle of field, some sink at end. | Robert/luc | Element 3 | Edit

2 | 07/10/2022 | 1:00 PM | 60 mins | Tiger moutain | First tandom with Northwest paragliding. 100% different experience. Due to thermals that could have kept us up for hours. Learning about weight shifts during 360° turns. Keeping the glider level in a turn. Feeling for thermals, "traffic rules" or thermaling andslow controlled movements. "S" bends to reduce speed and altitude. | Chris | B | Edit
1 | 07/07/2022 | 1:00 PM | 11 mins | Tiger moutain | Tandom flight with Seattle paragliding, instructor Yun. Afterwards Yun instructed me on the "bunny hill" but wasn't able to get the glider to stay above me. The lesson then ended after 3 attempts. | Yun | Unknown low B? | Edit
27 | 09/03/2021 | 10:00 AM | 2 mins | ML1 | First flight on the miniwing, launched in almost nill wind and used most of the launch. Air had a couple bumps and the wing is super twitchy but so much fun!! Landed on a trail. | Firefly3 | Edit
5 | 11/09/2020 | 10:00 AM | 10 mins | Elings park | On this day we practiced kiting again, but this time my instructor put on his gear and played around on the hill as well. It was exactly what I needed to see. Controlling the wing and allowing it to rise and fall as needed enabling you to walk in the desired direction. He would load the wing as a gust was hitting, lightly jump off the ground and hover in place for a few seconds. I eventually got the hang of these techniques and was able to hover as well. Use of the rear risers to control the lift of the wing, while staying aware of the windspeed and gusts, being ready to yank the guts out of the glider if you begin to feel it getting overpowered. I began speaking with my instructors about gear and what could suit me. | Chris Grantham | EN - A | Edit

6 | 02/03/2021 | 10:00 AM | 10 mins | Elings park | First flights on my new wing. 08 windtech zephyr. Chris said it was an older design that might not be best for a beginner, but after a thorough inspection, I took it out to fly. It felt so good. Practiced reverse takeoffs, kiting, and selecting a good pattern at the training hill. I felt good on my takeoffs, I had to thread the needle between a few people on the hill that day, no problems. I had one aborted launch in the beginning of the day, but no problems after. | Chris Grantham | Windtech zephyr EN - B | Edit

4 | 11/03/2020 | 10:00 AM | 10 mins | Elings park | The wind was a bit heavy and cross to the hill this day. We took one flight before settling with kiting for most of the day. This was where I managed to kite for as long as my neck and eyes could handle it. I would practice inflating the wing and sometimes turning around to practice the feeling of taking off. | Chris Grantham | EN - A | Edit
2 | 09/08/2019 | 6:00 PM | 12 mins | levee road Ill | 3rd Attempt and we have lift off. Climbed to 1800-2000 feet and soared around back to where we stared the tow. winds and thermals pretty muched died out at this point and it was just another sled ride but at least I got my cherry popped. Is this what a girl thinks the first time? LOL This was one of the most scary and thrilling moments of my life. 1 | 09/07/2019 | 5:00 PM | 3 mins | levee road Ill | First flight was a short sled ride got up about 100 ft and the tow line broke. We glided back down to land, reset and prepped for our 2nd/3rd attempt. I'm actually glad it worked out the way it did as I was nervous and the 100ft ride really helped me to know what to expect. | Lindsay | Gradiant tandom | Edit
